Mermaid Sighting on the Simpsons

I spotted some mermaids while rewatching the Simpsons.

First the most obvious use of mermaids on the Simpsons was in season five's episode $pringfield (Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Legalized Gambling), this is the one where Mr. Burns opens a casino. He chooses a lovely (um creepy?) mermaid as the casino theme.
Fantastic! Once inside the decor continues in this trend. Even the waitresses have cute fishy dresses!

My next sighting was while watching the eleventh season episode Beyond Blunderdome. The family test drives the Electaurus, an electric car. They drive off the pier and end up electrocuting various things under the sea, including some Mermaids!

The next mermaids come from the eighteenth season episode The Wife Aquatic. While drowning Homer hallucinates some mermaids and a lovely undersea gazebo!

I'm sure I've missed other examples of mermaids in the Simpsons. If you know of any feel free to drop me a line.

Another great sort of related bit is in Homer Badman when Homer sings a version of Under the Sea to talk about getting away from his troubles. There's no mermaids but it's pretty awesome nonetheless! Not sure where you can find a link to view it, but here's a place where you can listen to it! http://www.clayloomis.com/simsong.html
